FC4239 High injection air auxiliary pressure detected in metering pump (Nozzle diagnosis)

• Prerequisites for diagnostic operation:

- First successful pre-bet

- When the first injection command is received, enter the nozzle diagnostic program. At this point, ECM will command ASOV to turn off the condition for the fault code to trigger:

1. Check the time it takes for the mixing chamber pressure to drop to 150 kpa when ASOV is turned off.

2. If the time is less than 1 second, the metering pump enters the metering injection

3. If it is longer than 1 second, the nozzle self-cleaning program will be triggered.

Turn ASOV off for 60 seconds, turn it on for 2 seconds. Check the time it takes for the mixing chamber pressure to drop to 150Kpa with ASOV off. If it is longer than 1 second, the nozzle self-cleaning process continues. If it is less than 1 second, the program exits and the metering pump enters the metering injection. The nozzle self-cleaning program lasts up to 10 cycles.

4.10 After the execution of the self-cleaning program, FC4239 is in force.

System response after the fault code is active

- The post-processing system will empty and then stay in the Error state

-ECM continuously monitors the mixing chamber pressure

1. When the mixing chamber pressure returns to 330~430Kpa, and continues for 20 seconds

2. The post-processing system will re-pre-fill, and then re-enter the normal operation process.

3. This process is performed at most once by the ignition switch.

4. If the system passes the diagnosis of nozzle blockage this time, the fault code will be cleared.

■ Prerequisites for diagnostic operation:

- Injection metering stage

· Conditions for fault code trigger:

1. Mixing chamber pressure higher than set value (500KPA)

- The nozzle self-cleaning program will be triggered after the above conditions are met for 8 seconds.

· Turn ASOV off for 60 seconds and on for 8 seconds.

• Check if it is higher than the set value (500Kpa if it is higher than the set value continue to perform nozzle self-cleaning. If lower, return to metering injection state.

· Nozzle self-cleaning lasts up to 9 times, after which FC4239 is active.

System response

- The post-processing system will empty and then stay in the Error state

- The system will always monitor the error status if the fault code trigger condition is no longer present (mixing chamber pressure

=330 to 430Kpa), the system error status will be restored. This is the same diagnosis as a clogged nozzle.

FC4239 Diagnosis and Troubleshooting Procedure

■ Possible causes of failure:

- The mixing room is blocked

-ASOV Internal fault

- DEF nozzle is blocked

- The internal resistance of the spray tube is large or blocked

■ Failure code is not current method:

■ For the sensor rationality check, after the above faults are eliminated, the fault code can be changed to non-current after the ASOV click test and the loading test of the metering pump.
